who we are
what we do
where we're from
when we live
why we exist
must we let these questions
be answered by others?
must we let their answers
define us as people?
can we break free from our past
our broken homes
our soiled hearts
our sinful hands
and start over?
can we sever cultural connections
built up over years, built into our families?
I want to be a new creation.
I want to live by God's standard.
I want to break the cycle of guilt.
I want to find my identity in Christ.
